Here you can find answers to your cloud questions. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please feel free to contact us.

What operating environments are you currently supporting?

Run your choice of OS, including Debian, CentOS, CoreOS, SUSE, Ubuntu, Red Hat, FreeBSD, or Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019. You can also use a shared image from the Cloud Platform community, or bring your own.

What is preventing me from going directly to Google for some of their cloud services?

You could go directly to Google but nobody at Google will understand the PICK/MultiValue environment like us.  We have invested many years in cloud training and have earned several certifications to be qualified to support your infrastructure in the cloud so you can focus on your core business.

What flavors of MultiValue Software do you currently support in your Cloud offering?

Pick Cloud, Inc. is a Google partner as well as database agnostic and can work with ALL MultiValue products as long as you are running a compatible and licensed version for our host environment(s); either Windows or Linux are offered at this time. We specialize in all of Rocket Software database products – D3, mvBase, UniData and UniVerse as well as Zumasys OpenQM.

What happens to my existing MultiValue license if I move to your hosted cloud environment? Do I need to have my license registered with you to do this?

You keep your existing MultiValue license just like you would if you changed to a different server on premise.  We don’t require that you register your license with us to do this. You can keep your existing VAR. All we require is that you have an active software maintenance agreement with your preferred database vendor.

Do you offer proof of concepts?

Yes, we do. We provide 15 day free trials with no credit card or commitment required.

I am a developer who needs a small server for development and testing. Do you offer an option for me?

We have an option called short term server leasing for as low as $10 per day.  If you wish to test longer than that we can help you configure a demo/development server for as low as $79 per month. For more information please click here.

Are there any special requirements for using the cloud from our location? (i.e. Internet speed)

The first thing you will need is a good Internet connection, with adequate bandwidth. Other requirements are dependent upon your individual application and we can discuss on a case by case basis. To test your internet speed click here.

Do you only host MultiValue applications?

No. While MultiValue is near and dear to our hearts, we do recognize that companies have other applications in addition to MultiValue that they need hosted. We can host and manage virtually any application you have.

Where do I get technical support?

All support inquiries should be directed to support@mypickcloud.com or by calling our main phone number at 949-415-7778 #5.

Can I use host OS functionality?

Yes. You’ll have access to call any host environment commands that are available.

Do I have console access?

Yes, we will grant full administrator or root access if required.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes – currently we accept all major credit cards. Credit card purchases will automatically be charged a 3% convenience fee.

How does Pick Cloud bill me?

You are billed every 30 days based on the day you sign up for the service. Your credit card will be charged for your monthly hosting fee on the first day your account becomes active. After 30 days have gone by you will be billed again for the next month of service. The exact charge will be based on recurring charges in addition to whatever additional fees you have incurred during that previous month.

Can I pay for your cloud services annually in advance?

Absolutely! If you do choose to pay us annually in advance, we will give you one month for free! Contact us to find out more!

Do you have a referral program?

Yes, we do have a referral program. Check out our referral program here. Both the referrer and the person being referred get something. Win-win.
