PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PICK CLOUD INCREASES OPENQM DBAAS PRICING BY $1

Newport Beach, CA, APRIL 27, 2021 – Pick Cloud is announcing that their  OpenQM DBaaS pricing is increasing by $1 per user per month. This is the first price increase in over 8 years.  Prices have not increased since the inception of the first true MultiValue Database as a Service. Increases in hosting and licensing fees have made this price increase necessary.

The $249 minimum is unaffected by this increase and includes OpenQM and AccuTerm licenses as well as Google’s world-class infrastructure. Additional users are $16 each per month.  All OpenQM DBaaS tiers include these benefits.

“Pick Cloud, Inc. in conjunction with Zumasys continues to deliver a true MultiValue DBaaS. Developers, VARs,  and end-users alike can benefit from a low-cost alternative to costly per seat database license pricing, while at the same time taking advantage of Google’s worry-free environment – all for just $16 per seat per month, says Mark Pick, CEO, and founder of Pick Cloud, Inc. MultiValue companies can continue to focus on their business, not their IT.”

Pick Cloud Moves All Vend Management Corporation's D3 Application from On-Premise to Cloud with Ease - May 27, 2020

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PICK CLOUD MOVES ALL VEND MANAGEMENT CORPORATION’S D3 APPLICATION FROM ON-PREMISE TO CLOUD WITH EASE

Newport Beach, CA, May 27, 2020 – All Vend is a management company that uses a D3 based proprietary system to provide their clients with a single source to set up and manage subcontracts with service companies, mitigate customer service issues, monitor insurance coverages and, collect, reconcile, and generate monthly sales reports on the thousands of vending machines serving their clients.

While their fear of the unknown with the current COVID-19 pandemic is what led them to move to the cloud now, they are happy they did.

Stability, reliability, and security were among the reasons for the move. So far they are super pleased according to Vice President Dan Clemson. “We made a good decision to go to the cloud and it was a very painless thing to do. It was very easy and well done. We are going to unplug the server in the office now. We didn’t even need to run a dual system while the migration was happening. It was that easy. This is a testament to how smooth the transition was and to Mark’s team’s knowledge of cloud and PICK/MultiValue.”

The move was done over a weekend. The employees finished their work Friday night and Monday morning they logged into the new system as if nothing had happened.

“It was magic. All the best stuff is always magic,” says Nora Nevers, Programmer Analyst for All Vend. “It was the most painless server migration I have ever been a part of. We never considered any other provider. There was just something about Pick Cloud we knew would be the best way.”

All Vend no longer has to worry about server and software upgrades and updates and are always on the latest and greatest release.

According to Nevers, performance has also increased. “I used to run big select statements and go get a cup of coffee or a coke and come back. Now they are a lot faster.”

“Moving to the cloud gives us many more opportunities to integrate with other technologies. We look forward to utilizing the benefits of phiReport cloud edition to be able to provide sales reports and other data to our clients,” says Dan Clemson.

All Vend Management Corporation is currently running Rocket’s D3 10.3.1 on CentOS 7 in one of the many Google data centers across the globe. They rest well knowing they are taking advantage of their data being encrypted at rest as well as in transit (to and from the server). This is available by default. Along with migrating to the cloud, they will be utilizing AccuTerm 7 to take advantage of their many new features (including ReZume) along with using CirrusPrint for secure and efficient cloud printing.

Action Technology, Inc. Chooses Pick Cloud For Their Move to the Cloud - April 27, 2020

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ACTION TECHNOLOGY, INC. CHOOSES PICK CLOUD FOR THEIR MOVE TO THE CLOUD

Newport Beach, CA, April 27, 2020, Action Technology, a Midlothian Virginia company, chose Pick Cloud to aid in their transition from on-premise to the cloud.

Businesses turn to Action Technology, Inc. to fill contract and temp-to-direct positions for all skill levels. They are a certified woman-owned small business and are dedicated to filling long term and short term staffing requirements for many companies.

When they realized their operating system was no longer going to be supported and their hardware was aging and unstable, they decided to look for a solution. Their choice was either to purchase another piece of on-prem hardware or look at a cloud environment solution.

During the final week of the evaluation phase, their on-prem server crashed. Luckily they were able to transition to Pick Cloud’s Google solution, with little to no disruption to their day-to-day operation and were back and running. The cloud solution could not have come any sooner for them.

“Pick Cloud really saved our bacon,” says Sharon Daniel, VP, and CFO of Action Technology. “If it weren’t for Mark’s team we wouldn’t be in the position we are today after our server crashed.”

By moving to the cloud when they did, they didn’t have to try and retrieve the backup from the server that crashed, requisition a new server, set it up and recreate the data they had, all while the employees at the company waited for a system to access, unable to complete their work. They saved days, if not thousands of dollars.

Action Technology is currently running Rocket’s Universe 12.1 on CentOS 7 in one of the many Google data centers across the globe. They are now able to take advantage of knowing their data is encrypted at rest as well as in transit (to and from the server). Along with migrating to the cloud they also upgraded their terminal emulation to AccuTerm to take advantage of their many new features along with using CirrusPrint for secure and efficient cloud printing.

“Performance has increased significantly since the move to the cloud with no connectivity issues”, says Robert Glass, Director IT Services. “In fact, we can connect more quickly to the cloud server than we could to the one in the office.”

“It is now easier than ever for MultiValue customers to enter the cloud. Those wanting to start their journey securely and affordably, can now do so with our cloud starter pack. Starting at just $319 per month, they have everything they need to run their business – from hosting all their infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, to CirrusPrint, a seamless way to print from the cloud to any on-premise printer in many locations, and phiReport cloud edition, a reporting tool that allows any Windows user with a current AccuTerm terminal emulator to define and generate attractive Excel worksheets from a graphical user interface.” says Mark Pick, CEO of Pick Cloud, Inc. “We are maximizing the relationships with our SaaS vendors and our decades of PICK/MultiValue experience to offer the community a way to stay on top of the latest technology and extend their MultiValue investment instead of throwing the baby out with the bathwater.”

Pick Cloud leverages the same cloud infrastructure that allows Google to serve 6 billion hours of YouTube video per month, provide storage for over a billion active Gmail users and services to more than 5 million businesses that have chosen G Suite and to return billions of search results in milliseconds. Google’s private fiber network spans the globe with over 100 points of presence across 33 countries, meaning data reaches users with the lowest latency possible.

Anderson Business Technology moves from Reality to OpenQM - July 24, 2018

Pick Cloud, Inc. announced today that Anderson Business Technology successfully migrated from Reality to OpenQM.

Anderson Business Technology is a family owned business that began in 1912. They offer and service an array of digital-connected office equipment, as well as stand-alone copiers, fax, printers, shredders, dictation equipment, and calculators. They use their PICK application to run their entire business.

Anderson Business Technology finalized the move from Reality to OpenQM in early 2018.

“The changes in ownership at Northgate, the reduction in the Reality US support team, and increase in Reality annual costs forced us to look for an affordable alternative to our current PICK MultiValue application, says David Anderson, President of Anderson Business Technology. “With OpenQM, we had a fixed cost on a platform that allows us to keep our PICK application up to date and with all the functionality we need. We worked with Mark Pick who we trust and always points us in the right direction. The conversion went well. We haven’t had any issues since the transition. Mark’s team was very thorough.”

OpenQM costs a fraction of what the other MultiValue databases do and offers a cost-effective, high-performance environment with an extremely efficient footprint. OpenQM comes with AccuTerm.

“We saw some increased functionality after the migration. Including but not limited to, printers being easier to install and we were able to view the debugger where we weren’t able to before.”

If you are tired of rising annual license and support costs and an inability to reach your MultiValue provider and want to move to a cost-effective, high performance product OpenQM may be the solution you are looking for.

We offer OpenQM DBaaS in our state of the art Google data centers and costs as little as $15 per seat per month with all the infrastructure included. All you need is an internet connection. If you are interested in making the move to OpenQM, you can request a 15 day free trial here in the cloud.

Pick Cloud, Inc. and 3phi Solutions Inc. announced a strategic partnership to sell phiReport© Cloud edition exclusively in North America.

phiReport© is a suite of reporting tools based on the PICK/MultiValue DBMS. The application is built using AccuTerm GUI, allowing any Windows user with a current AccuTerm terminal emulator to define and generate attractive Excel worksheets from a graphical user interface. Aside from AccuTerm and Microsoft Excel and Word, no additional software is required on the user workstation. Once defined, reports can be generated from character-based menus or TCL commands and exported to the user workstation. Reports can be saved in an Excel workbook, printed on any Windows printers, saved as a PDF, or e-mailed.

“Now everyone can afford and access this reporting suite. This is just another fantastic tool and one of the reasons the cloud leverages the playing field allowing any company of any size to compete with larger companies that may have more resources.” says Mark Pick, CEO and founder of Pick Cloud, Inc.

Google Cloud Platform was engineered to handle the most intensive workloads on the planet. Pick Cloud leverages the same cloud infrastructure that allows Google to serve 6 billion hours of YouTube video per month, provide storage for over a billion Gmail users and services to more than 5 million businesses that have chosen G Suite and to return billions of search results in milliseconds.

“We are proud to partner with Mark Pick and his company, says Pierre Trinephi, Owner, 3phi Solutions Inc. Pick Cloud, Inc. Launches Short Term Server Leasing For As Low As $15 Per Server Per Day - November 14, 2014

PICK CLOUD, INC. LAUNCHES SHORT TERM SERVER LEASING FOR AS LOW AS $15 PER SERVER PER DAY

Newport Beach, CA, November 14, 2014 – Pick Cloud, Inc. the first MultiValue Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) provider, specializing in both public and private cloud solutions, has introduced short-term server leasing as part of their cloud suite of offerings. No long-term commitments or long-term contracts are required.

According to Mark Pick, CEO and founder of Pick Cloud, Inc. “There is now a cost effective alternative for MultiValue application providers and users to spending a lot of time and money to configure, purchase and set up a server on premise for short-term use. With a short-term option for short-term projects you can afford the technology you need without exhausting your cash flow or lines of credit. For as low as $15 per day you get enterprise grade servers and equipment.” He also states, “We offer a complete solution with the capability to print securely via the cloud with a product called CirrusPrint, from our valued partners at Synergetic Data Systems, Inc. This makes for an ideal, cost effective, testing and development environment.”

Scenarios for short-term leasing:

• Evaluations and proof of concepts
• Consolidation and migration
• As a temporary replacement for a server that is briefly out of commission for repairs or diagnostics so you do not lose information or business.
• Minimize the impact of application changes, software testing or upgrades to avoid compromising production systems.
• For disaster recovery – ensure business continuity and rent temporary servers to recover from, flood, fire or theft.
• And more!

You can get real time deployments with short-term commitments. Your cloud – without compromise.
